As part of the series 'Men and Women in the Bible and the Holy Spirit' I attempted to describe the power of Appreciation in our lives and the way Jesus did this in the gospels. Jesus appreciated and accepted people like Nathanael, the woman at the well, the Centurion's faith, Peter, etc and through this the Holy Spirit worked. See the PowerPoint and the Podcast.

Excellent talk on Sunday Roy it was good to be reminded again how Jesus interacted and really appreciated 'normal' people and he used them in many wonderous ways. It can be hard for us sometimes when we feel as though we fail Jesus more often than not to remeber that he chose us, wants to be in relationship with us and accepts us where we are. I thought the illustrations were very helpful as they covered a whole range of situations that we can find ourselves in.
