Thank you, Shaun. Something that has just struck me about this story: I think I usually assume that God's miracles occur in areas of our lives where we are particularly weak or needy. Obviously if we are helpless we will value his help. But here Peter was an expert - fishing was something he was good at - so the miracle of Jesus' intervention was different. Peter would have appreciated the enormity of what Jesus had done, BECAUSE he was knowledgeable in this area. Just goes to show God wants to be involved in all areas of our lives, not just those where we feel 'needy'!
