Being a pencil for God

Why not run through the powerpoint below and give us your thoughts on being a pencil!

Thanks to Anita for bringing this to our attention.

Thoughts of a pencil!

Choosing a pathway, searching for wisdom;
Wanting your will to affect what I do.
Hunting for insight, lost for direction,
Seeking the route that will lead me to you.

Needing your guidance, hungry to find you,
Looking around to see where you might be,
Reading and writing, Life-tales unfolding;
Hoping to find you looking for me.

I know you are present in miniscule moments,
I know that you grace every beat of my heart,
But how do I follow your way through those moments?
Why won’t you show me, quite clearly, my part?

I know that I cannot determine your drawing;
The part I must play is acceptance with grace.
I want to be one who gives all that I have for you,
I have to accept that is truly your place.

I wait then expectantly; still in your pencil case,
Sometimes uncertain and feeling quite spare.
Wanting to play a part, uncertain of your heart,
But Lord when you call me I hope I’ll be there.
