A smiling God

The Lord bless you and keep you:
the Lord make his face shine upon you
and be gracious to you;
the Lord turn his face towards you
and give you peace.
Numbers 6:24-26

Hi Shaun

thanks for this,

maybe I'll post a question, do you think there are any people in the New Testament who (might) have done something, made a decision, acted in their own strength and (maybe, only a big maybe, emphasis on not sure here), not Gods and things played out differently in one sense but in another way, the result was the same?

Sometimes if things cross our minds its sometimes best to leave things as questions, so I'll leave it as that rather than suggest anything today or tomorrow,

May I leave an entirely different type of question as well, hope ok to do so,

Do you think a 100 year old, 7 foot tall Greenlander called Pierre Bontou has much chance?

Love, well have a guess......?

Interesting questions. My answer to the second is that every one has a chance!!!!!!

To the second my first thought was Judas who went his own way and still brought about the outcome that was needed but not sure whether it was different to what was expected and the result for him was not good so does that count? Also Peter did a few things that were done potentially in his own strength but God/Jesus stood by him and the end result was the same. This brought me to my next thought which is do we really do things in our own strength if they are in line with what God wants to happen. Perhaps God allows us to try things in different ways with some being easier than others but the result being the same. But by choosing the more arduous root we may deepen our understanding of God.
When the disciples were sent out to heal people and drive out demons and found they couldn't that didn't pack it all in and go home. They went back to Jesus to learn more and have their faith strengthened which is I guess what Jesus wanted anyway.

Not sure how much that helps if at all and not 100% sure I know who I'm talking to but I've an idea want to give me any more clues?

Hi Shaun

Thank you for your thoughts on this which are very helpful,

I'm pulling your leg a bit here, but do you need to know who I am ? !!

I read the other day a bit from Acts and saw Acts 27 32, And Agrippa said to Festus, "This man could have been released if he had not appealed to the Emperor,"

Did God guide him to do this, I'm not sure and do not know much about Acts?

I guess God would have being Glorified either way. If we do our best, and simply acknowledge that God will use his awesome power and love, then maybe be the doors will open, unless a greater purpose can be achieved in them not opening at this time, or the grandest gates remaining closed, but the most insignificant looking dilapidated side gate opening instead for us to walk through,

Feeling I need to be patient and Trusting as you preached on the other day, not force the doors open but just Prayerfully and in Faith and love wait for our Father God to open the right doors at the right time for me. For our Father's glory and his kingdom on Earth,

I would be very grateful if you might be able to keep Praying for this please

Love
your brother in Christ, uknowwhonow!
