Today's talk became the start of a little mini series where Roy and I will be focussing on the encounters different characters had with Jesus and what we can gain from another look at these epidodes.
This morning I took the story of Zacchaeus, the powerpoint below just highlights some of the phrases of the encounter, what are your thoughts?

I might be skipping ahead a character or two, but I have been reading Psalm 116 this week; a book suggested it as the sort of passage that was good to read slowly and chew the fat of, repeatedly over several days. At the same time I read the story of Daniel – particularly where his life came so close to being lost. I could imagine Daniel praying this Psalm, and meaning every word.
